This website contains educational information for people who live or vacation in fire-prone areas of the United States. It was designed to acquaint you with the challenges of living with wildland fire. Provides guidelines for fire hazard mitigation around homes and buildings. They also provide online and in-person training and certification.
This links to the full version or parts of the 2006 CWPP. This Plan is a comprehensive view of wildfire hazards in Custer County, including how 17 Landscape Neighborhoods were defined and rated. It presents many approaches for practical forestry implementation.
